About us

The North East Business association (NEBA) was formed in the early 1980s by local business owners and representatives from the Northview Public Schools and Plainfield Charter Township. Over the years, NEBA members have contributed to meetings and events aimed at building strong ties between local business owners, schools, and organizations. The COVID pandemic shuttered American life for nearly two years and Plainfield Charter Township was no exception. NEBA has made great gains since then, as our community works together to build a great life here once again.

What we do

NEBA works to create new opportunities to serve and give back to our residents and visitors who shop, visit, and support local business, operate our excellent schools, and oversee our well-run township.

Our mission

Strengthening a healthy and prosperous community — business, neighborhoods, and schools.

Our values

Be Caring

NEBA provides a space and opportunity to grow your business while making an important, positive impression about Northview — on visitors as well as residents. Your experience, financial support and volunteer activities lend strength to a healthy and prosperous business community. This place holds our home, our business, our neighbors. NEBA contributes to a good life here.

Be Committed

Joining NEBA means you get to give back to the community that supports your local business/organization. And that’s important when it’s so easy for people to shop by computer. At the same time, you’re joining people who share your dedication to Northview. We’re working to celebrate this special place — the best kind of networking around.

Be Creative

Northview is what we make it. NEBA is the only organization dedicated to creating the sense of place that gives people pride and pleasure in living and shopping here. Our events are designed to bring people together in unique celebrations that form relationships between business, visitors and residents. We make Northview special.

Be Accountable

NEBA provides special recognition for your business in exchange for your support — you become known in Northview as more than a name on a building or an online order. NEBA provides a way for you to influence the future of our community and be known as a good neighbor....which means good business.

NEBA works to create new opportunities to serve and give back to our residents and visitors who shop, visit, and support local business, operate our excellent schools, and oversee our well-run township.
